Sources
We cite primary sources: Portuguese legislation, AIMA and Autoridade Tributária guidance, official fee schedules, and consulate instructions. Third-party sites are used for context, never as the basis for a number.
Expert review
Guides in the Visas and Taxes sections are reviewed by a licensed Portuguese professional before publication. The reviewer’s name, credential and review date are shown on the page. A reviewer can require changes or block publication.
Updates
Each guide shows its published and last-verified dates. Topics that change often (visa rules, tax regimes, fees) are re-verified at least every 60 days; others at least every 180 days. Material corrections are noted in the article.
Independence and money
Referral fees, affiliate links and sponsorships fund this site. They are disclosed where they appear. Partners do not see articles before publication and cannot influence rankings, recommendations or wording. We do not sell positive coverage.
