How guides are made
Every guide starts from primary sources — Portuguese law, AIMA and Finanças guidance, official fee tables — and from what actually happens at the counter. Visa and tax articles are then reviewed by a licensed Portuguese immigration lawyer or tax advisor, whose name and review date appear on the page.
Numbers carry dates. When a threshold changes (minimum wage, tax brackets, visa fees), the article is updated and the “last verified” date moves. Volatile topics are re-checked on a fixed cadence.
